Inner tail lights are part of the vehicle’s rear lighting system. They are mounted to the tailgate or bootlid—and typically line up with the outer tail lights to extent visibility and signalling.

How to determine fitment compatibility

There are usually multiple, non-exchangeable types of inner tail light within any given model generation. This can be to account for LCI updates, halogen and LED types.

The best way to determine fitment compatibility of a inner tail light is to match the BMW part numbers from the catalogue. This can be done by decoding your vehicle’s VIN in a BMW EPC (electronic part catalogue.)
